As a Church family, we can easily say the Lord has really been good to us through the first part of this year. We should be celebrating the fact that we were able to make a difference by giving to the missions appeal last month. We should be celebrating the many answers to our prayers each month.
We celebrate events like birthdays, anniversaries, or special events throughout the year. I am sure that there will be several events to celebrate this month. On Thursday the 22 nd of June, we can celebrate the shortest day in the southern hemisphere.
I know that I will be celebrating my spiritual birthday this month. The day when I surrendered my life to Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour. In saying this, I am reminded of the Psalmist’s words in Psalm 23:6 “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life…” This month, Marjorie and I will be celebrating fifty years, of the faithfulness, goodness and mercy of the Lord in Pastoral ministry. We are very thankful and grateful for the Holy Spirit’s leading, guiding and strength given to us.
Come, let us tell of the LORD’s greatness; let us exalt his name together.
