Live to please The Lord

Who do you live for each day? Most people live for themselves, or for others. But, how many of us really live each day to please the Lord? Have you ever asked yourself, “Am I living to please the Lord today?” It would be interesting to survey followers of Christ, to find out how many
really think about God, His Word, His Church, or their own testimony every day.

Can you truly say with confidence that you are living each day as one of God’s children? What does God expect of us? God expects us to live for Him just as His Son Jesus lived to please His Father. Jesus never lived for himself. Everything He did and said was to please His Father, so should
we. Jesus died for us, not for himself. Jesus rose again for us, not for himself. Jesus sent His Holy Spirit into the world to lead us, guide us, teach us, so that we might know Him intimately and become more like Him each day – in thought, word and deed.

The Lord expects us to be living examples of Christ to the Church family and whoever we come in contact with each day. We would do well to heed what Paul reminded Timothy of: “ Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity”. 1 Timothy
4:12.
