Impacting the next generation

Present research has exposed an alarming fact, that the 21 st century church is not delivering sound Bible based disciples for the next generation. The reason is due to unwarranted exposure to ungodly influences on the one hand, and an over-dependency upon church programs that do not deliver kingdom-focused faith in the next generation.

I believe that it is time for every one of us to ask ourselves this question: “Am I inspiring our younger generation to follow Jesus and His word, by our speech, actions, attitudes and conduct?” Just simply ask yourself: “Am I a reflection of Jesus Christ impacting the next generation to follow Christ?” Deuteronomy 6:1–3 (NLT) is a call for a wholehearted commitment to accomplish and impart to our next generation. This calls for all Fathers, and spiritual fathers to take the lead, by recognizing that you are the spiritual thermostat in the home and the Church. And God commanded you to raise the next generation through the training and instruction of the Lord. Take the time to meditate on the above verses.

We are blessed with several groups that meet each week here at Wonthaggi Baptist Church. Some are called Connect Groups - Small groups of people who gather with a resolve to grow spiritually, encourage friendship, and enjoy each other’s company. All this is done with the groups support, reinforcement and accountability. Connect groups are designed to promote Christ-centred friendships that inspires, challenges and promotes Christlikeness. If you are still not involved in a Connect Group at WBC, Why not? Ring or text Mary-Sue our Connect Groups Coordinator today.

Are you Impacting the next generation for Christ?
