Organised by a dedicated team of volunteers and families, we aim to provide a safe and caring environment for both parents and pre-school children.
Playgroups
We are a family centered playgroup for children aged 0-4 years old, encouraging development through play. We aim to provide a loving and caring environment for both parents and children to have a safe and happy time together. We offer a themed program where children are exposed to a variety of different activities, play environments and structured group time. Sessions typically include craft activities, painting, puzzles, floor play, story-time, music, and outside play.
As a church-led playgroup we celebrate Christmas and Easter, sing grace before morning tea, and sometimes include Christian themes/bible stories in our program. Occasionally we also run social events to provide opportunities for parents and children to meet other families and connect into a wider community.
Our Playgroup is run by volunteers from Wonthaggi Baptist Church and is held in the Children’s Ministry Centre cnr. McBride Ave & Broome Cres, Wonthaggi.

Special Events
Throughout the year we have various events which are open to all our playgroup families.
2024 Fees
- Fees for 2024 will be $35 per term for one child
- Fees for families with two or more children both aged over 1 years old the total fee is $45 per term.
- If you have other children under one there is no additional cost.
- Fees are due at the start of each term.
- Should you like to pay for the year upfront simply speak to your playgroup leader.

Enrolment
To enquire about availability at our sessions please complete the playgroup registration of interest form and then a member of the playgroup team will contact you to confirm available days and give enrolment details.
Enrolments are welcome throughout the year.

Parent Responsibilities
- You are responsible for your child and their behavior during the playgroup session
- Please provide a healthy morning tea snack for your child. Please do not bring food containing nuts. Morning tea for parents is provided.
- Each parent is required to be part of a roster for providing morning tea and for cleaning up at the end of the session.
- Please do not bring your child to playgroup if they are sick.
- Remember to bring hats and/or jackets for outside play.
- Playgroup is for children aged 0-4 years.
- The fees are $35 per term for one child or $45 per term if you have two children aged over 1 year, due in the first two weeks of term.
