What Does an Open Door Say
I heard a story the other day of an inner-city Church that completed an extension. As part of the extension they had automatic doors that opened on to the street.
A curious resident who lived a few houses away decided that she would go and see what had been done at the Church now that all the noise and tradies’ cars had gone. She wandered down the footpath, reached the automatic doors and they opened. So she entered the building and met someone. Over time she built many friendships with people and eventually gave her life to Christ.
An open door says something: it says you are welcome, it says come in.
Revelation talks about an open door:
“I see what you’ve done. Now see what I’ve done. I’ve opened a door before you that no one can slam shut.” Rev 3:8 (MSG)
Jesus has opened the Door of Salvation. Please be praying for people to walk through it.
